Da Metabones arriva l’aggiornamento firmware che aggiunge AF continuo nel video !
Metabones ha rilasciato un aggiornamento firmware per il suo adattatore intelligente EF-E Smart Adapter MARK IV e EF-E Speed Booster ULTRA, migliorando notevolmente la messa a fuoco automatica, le regolazioni d’apertura più regolari e consentendo la messa a fuoco automatica continua sulle fotocamere Sony Alpha compatibili.
L’aggiornamento del firmware che Metabones ha appena rilasciato per il suo EF-E Smart Adapter MARK IV e EF-E Speed Booster ULTRA chiude il gap tra le lenti native con attacco Sony E e le Canon EF.
Con il firmware Metabones V0.50, la messa a fuoco automatica con un obiettivo EF è molto migliorata, i cambiamenti di apertura sono più lisci (ancora a clicky, ma migliorato) e la messa a fuoco automatica è ora abilitata sui corpi compatibili.

- Benefits and improvements:
- Wide-open button functionality is removed on A7 series and A6300. The button of the adapter is now dedicated to the function of the customisable Focus Hold button on the A7 series and A6300.
- “Advanced” mode is now the default operating mode. (Note: you may permanently change the default to “Green” mode, by holding down the button on the adapter while attaching to an already-on camera, and then, without ever releasing the button, turn off the camera’s power. Changing the default back to “Advanced” mode using the same procedure.)
- “Native” autofocus features including DMF, Eye-AF and fast CDAF on all E-mount cameras (see Press Release for details).
- Support for smooth iris feature of the latest Canon and Tamron SP lenses.
- PDAF improvement for Canon EF 50/1.4 USM and some other large aperture fixed focal length lenses.
- Descriptive lens name on EXIF LensModel tag (except on older cameras and Metabones Mark I, Mark II, Mark III and the original Speed Booster). A compliant utility such as exiftool is required. Sony Image Data Converter does NOT display the LensModel tag.
- Fixed a focus parking issue after an exposure with some older Canon lenses.
Abbiamo installato il firmware Metabones 0.50 sul nostro adattatore Metabones e possiamo confermare i miglioramenti, con le modalità di messa a fuoco in continuo disponibili sulla Sony A7R II e A7S II. Gli utenti di Sony Alpha II / Metabones / EF combo possono ora usufruire in determinate circostanze di una modalità di messa a fuoco utilizzabile durante le riprese video, con rilevamento di volti, di controllo zonale, con modalità di velocità e sensibilità.
Se lo confrontiamo con il sistema Canon a doppio Pixel messa a fuoco automatica, l’equivalente messa a fuoco di Sony è più complicata, meno reattivo e meno precisa, ma fa un buon lavoro su alcune lunghezze focali.

Modalità “Green” (Economy) è di nuovo la modalità predefinita.
“Advanced” si attiva avvitando la Lente a camera accesa col tastino funzione premuto (in questo modo si attiva anche AFC).
Modalità “Advanced” miglioramenti AF-C:
Corretta la visualizzazione manuale distanza di messa a fuoco con il fuoco-by-wire lenti (ad esempio 85 / 1,2L, lenti STM).
I seguenti obiettivi sono stati testati con l’ AF “nativo“. Fare riferimento al sito Metabones per una lista più aggiornata. Le lenti dotate del supporto del diaframma fluido sono contrassegnati da un asterisco. Lenti APS-C non sono compatibili con il modello Speed Booster.
