La versione beta 2 di DaVinci Resolve 16 ottimizza la pagina Cut introducendo nuove opzioni di scelta rapida per la tastiera e perfezionando lo scrolling sulla timeline, la gestione dei file multimediali offline, il volume, la funzione Snap, lo spostamento delle tracce, il taglio degli spazi vuoti e non solo.
Per la pagina Edit offre un montaggio JKL più efficace e migliora l’editor della curva quando si lavora con i plug-in OpenFX, la funzione Speed Warp, la visualizzazione della forma d’onda, le prestazioni audio e gli overlay dei marcatori. Arricchisce la pagina Color con ResolveFX dalla performance superiore, Wipe Modes permanenti quando si alternano le anteprime a confronto nella Gallery, e ottimizza il Qualifier per i progetti ACES.
La beta 2 di DaVinci Resolve 16 include decine di miglioramenti anche per la pagina Fusion. Per esempio offre maggiore stabilità in fase di rendering di maschere di varie forme con elaborazione GPU impostata su Metal, e ottimizza le prestazioni GPU per gli strumenti di duplicazione e di effetto del mosso. Inoltre corregge diversi errori di layout dell’Inspector e uniforma il rendering delle particelle tra i sistemi Mac e Windows.
Per quanto riguarda Fairlight, ora gli elementi del menù contestuale sulla timeline appaiono correttamente nella finestra di personalizzazione della tastiera, e il campionatore degli effetti sonori FairlightFX offre una performance migliore. L’aggiornamento corregge i ritardi e i controlli B-chain, ripristina lo stato delle singole tracce subordinate dopo aver silenziato o riattivato i gruppi VCA, offre una misurazione corretta del loudness quando il timecode di partenza della timeline viene cambiato, e ottimizza la finestra di gestione dei bus.
Gli utenti Windows troveranno la beta 2 di DaVinci Resolve 16 nettamente più stabile grazie a una migliore gestione delle GPU dedicate e della memoria GPU. Sempre su Windows, ottimizza il rendering H.264 e mostra le opzioni di qualità automatiche per le clip H.264 e H.265 sulla pagina Deliver.
